Swimming Lessons!

NEWS: We will start swimming lessons ON THE FIRST DAY BACK!
On Monday 5th January 2015 we will start our swimming lessons. We will take the register in the morning and then head straight to the coach to take us to the pool, and be in the pool by 9.30am. The lessons last an hour. We should be back at school by 11am.
You'll need to bring a swimming costume and a towel. If you already own goggles or a swimming cap you are welcome to bring those with you, too.
What a lovely, healthy start to the new year!
The lessons will last for the whole of the Spring Term.
Because of the swimming lesson, you won't also have a PE lesson on Monday, but you'll still have one on Thursday.

Jamie's coaster

When Jamie was in Year 3, he, along with all of the other Year 3 children, had to draw a Christmassy picture. All of the pictures were then sent to a company which turned each picture into a coaster, and then parents bought them from the school.

Next week, we will be drawing a picture to turn into a coaster, and your parents and relatives can buy them. But the company can also print the pictures on mousemats, bags, all sorts of things.

I'll tell you more about it next week!

Children In Need 2014

Our learning squad have been very busy planning another exciting fundraising day.

The theme is "Superheroes."

Children are invited to wear superhero costumes or pyjamas/onsies.

We are challenging everyone (including teachers) to find as much spare change around the house as they can. Look down the side of the sofa and in drawers.

Years 5 and 6 will be setting up their own stalls as part of their enterprise project.

All pupils in school will have a chance to visit the stalls to spend their pennies on face paints, nail varnish, games, lucky dips, bring and buy etc...

Please let us know if you do not want your child to have any face painting,  nail varnish or coloured hairspray.

We are looking forward to a fun Pudsey day and thank you for your support

Science workshop at Pontypridd Museum

Beech class had a great time having a go at all the activities and finding out about forces.  If you're passing the museum it really is worth a visit!
